Family Day Care Co-Ordinator

We are seeking a Family Day Care Coordinator to lead our dynamic and close-knit team of Coordinators on a full-time basis.

The ideal candidate will be confident in their ability to both support the educators and fulfill the administrative requirements of the FDC scheme.

About the Role:

  • Supervise, mentor, and support Family Day Care Educators in the delivery of educational programmes in line with the Early Years Learning Framework through regular visits and telephone contact, training, professional development and networking opportunities
  • Ensure adherence to the Education and Care Services National Regulations, National Law, and the National Quality Framework by scheme and Educators
  • Coordinate ongoing development of Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)
  • Positively and professionally promote the service and its philosophy
  • Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with staff, educators, children and families
  • Recruit and onboard new Family Day Care Educators
  • Ensure compliance with the policies and procedures of Building Futures Care
  • Administrative duties including but not limited to processing enrolment forms, home visit records, and compliance visit reports, time sheets, invoices and CCS claims

Selection Criteria:

  • Diploma Early Childhood Education and Care, or equivalent
  • Experience as a Family Day Care Coordinator highly regarded, but not essential
  • Montessori Early Childhood Education qualification or willingness to obtain
  • Knowledge of Harmony Software (or similar CRM) and competent computer skills (Office 365)
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Regulations and National Law
  • Knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and My Time, Our Place Framework (MTOP)
  • Working knowledge of the concept and operations of Family Day Care and policy development in children’s services
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certifications, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
  • PRODA (Provider Digital Access) account or ability to obtain
  • Current (within 3 months) Police Check or willingness to obtain
  • Driver's licence
