Centre expansion plans have created an opportunity for an additional Early Childhood Teacher to join our dedicated team of Educators working within the beautiful Montessori environment at our Wavell Heights (north Brisbane) centre (https://buildingfutures.com.au/wavell-heights/). Coming onboard before the building works commence will give you time to settle in and become familiar with the centre, the Montessori teaching philosophy and existing staff before the new classroom opens.
Pre-service teachers approaching the completion of their studies are encouraged to apply.
About The Role:
We are seeking a Bachelor qualified (or equivalent) Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our team.
If you have experience in a Montessori environment or are looking to expand your knowledge and practice, then this is the opportunity for you. Selection Criteria:

- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA assessed equivalent*), or near completion.
- Montessori experience is preferred, however there is opportunity to complete your company sponsored Montessori Diploma (0-6) through our associated training college, Building Futures Education.
- Working knowledge of National Quality Framework (NQF), Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines (QKLG) and The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Current Blue Card or Exemption Card. Restricted persons need not apply.
- Registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) or willing to obtain.
- Hold First Aid HLTAID012 & CPR or be willing to obtain within 3 months of commencement.
